Scenic Culture

      WuGong Mountain has a long history, so does the culture. Humanistic sights can be seen everywhere. White Crane Peak, Purple-polar Palace, the Ancient GeXian Altar, Nine-Dragon Mountain and Guan Yin Rock trace back to the Han and Jin Dynasty. They are good places to  cultivate according to religious doctrine for buddism and Taoism. Nuo and Suo Long culture has strong folk custom. The Ancient altars have a mysterious and long history.

Nuo: 

      a ceremony of sacrificing the God and ancestor. It has two forms. One is popular in royal court, called Da Nuo ceremony. The other is popular in country and mostly celebrated in Spring Festivals. It has Nuo dance, Nuo dramaetc.

      Nuo dance is the most ancient form of Nuo. It is performed by the actors who impersonate deity, Buddha, God, General and demons with masks and properties in hands. The masks are usually carved from camphor and wiped rich oil paint. GanXi Nuo dance is mainly in PingXiang. The most ancient team of Nuo dance in CheXiang village, Nan Keng Town, LuXi County has come down the local country until now. The villager migrated to CheXiang at Tang Dynasty. They have a history of more than 1,000 yeas.

      GanXi Nuo Culture has 7 scenarios: Worshipping the God, Sacrificing the ancestors, persuading to be kind, the benedictive, exorcising, penalizing vice, enjoying peace and tranquility in turn.
